Coming from the stiff suspension of the GTI, I may be a bit biased here, hehe. The good handling doesn't seem to compromise ride quality as bumps and holes are smoothed out nicely. Handling isn't as precise as my GTI, but still very responsive and the car handles well around turns. It's got good low speed torque and the car can still confidentely overtake at highway speeds. I got 35mpg over 100miles of mostly highway yesterday with the AC on the whole time. Bluelink is nifty and for $75/year seems like it might be worth the convenience factor. The steering wheel controls and infotainment system is intuitive and easy to use.

The cabin tech & safety features are fantastic and the only thing the 2019 is missing is adaptive cruise control, which I think the 2020 is going to have if you want that and can wait. She doesn't feel comfortable driving a large car though, so the Kona was immediately appealing due to it's size. We needed to replace one of our ageing 2007 VW Golf GTI's and wanted something a little bit taller because my wife has knee problems and has trouble getting into and out of the Golf. Just picked up the Ultimate AWD this week and love it so far. Overall it's worth the money and I'm glad I made the change. I love the way the Kona drives, I have yet to drive it in snow but I have confidence in it's ability to keep me safe especially considering it has already has saved me from two close calls when the emergency brakes set in to action. I was never one that bought a car for simple comforts such as heated seats but let me tell you on cold days getting into your car and starting up those warmers and how quickly they heat up, I will never go back. There was a difference of about $6,000 for the 2019 Kona and RAV4 and considering Hyundai's warranty it was a no brainer. This past December I decided it was time when I saw the Hyundai Kona, there was so much to like about the vehicle and I was looking for a AWD and it was this or a 2016 Toyota RAV4. One of my first vehicles was a Hyundai Tiburon and I absolutely loved it and knew after I had an accident that one day I would come back to Hyundai.
